In response, Taiwan has condemned China’s actions and reinforced its commitment to peace and stability in the region.
The United States, a staunch ally of Taiwan, has pledged to defend the island from any threats. While President Joe Biden supports Taiwan, he has emphasized that he does not endorse Taiwan’s independence, a stance that China strongly opposes.
