BJP plans to repeat many sitting MLAs as they brainstorm over all seats in Maharashtra

The BJP recently held its core committee meeting in Maharashtra to strategize for the upcoming assembly elections. Unlike the previous elections where they contested only 164 seats, this time they are focusing on all 288 seats in the state. The party is taking a holistic approach to ensure victory by providing data and support for each seat.

After the meeting, Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule confirmed that discussions were limited to their own seats and allies who have switched sides. Intense discussions were held over 100 seats that the BJP is determined to contest, with a focus on giving tickets to sitting MLAs.

The party is planning to retain a significant number of its sitting MLAs, and the first list may include senior MLAs and sitting ministers. They are also working on finalizing seat-sharing arrangements with allies to ensure everyone is satisfied.

The central election committee meeting is scheduled for October 16, where PM Narendra Modi and other senior BJP leaders will discuss strategies for the upcoming elections. The agenda includes potential participation of MPs from Maharashtra who lost in the Lok Sabha elections. Overall, the BJP is gearing up for a competitive and strategic electoral campaign in Maharashtra.
