Заборона російської мови на перервах в школах

In a recent government question session at the Verkhovna Rada, MP Lisovyi emphasized the importance of protecting the Ukrainian language while also considering the equal development of languages of national communities in the EU. He clarified that this initiative does not target the Russian language, which Russia uses as a weapon against Ukraine.

A bill will be introduced on October 1 to ban the use of the Russian language within school premises. Teachers will be prohibited from switching to Russian during breaks, in the cafeteria, or in private conversations on school grounds. Additionally, educators and school directors may organize educational events, encourage students to communicate in Ukrainian, and reprimand students for speaking Russian.

This legislative effort aims to promote and preserve the Ukrainian language within the educational environment. It represents a proactive step to protect the linguistic rights of Ukrainian citizens and safeguard the cultural heritage of the nation.
