Yoruba Nation: Sunday Igboho Petitions UK Prime Minister

Popular Yoruba Nation activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, has taken a significant step in the secessionist movement in Nigeria by submitting a petition to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer.

Accompanied by other dignitaries, including Yoruba historian Prof Adebanji Akintoye, Igboho delivered the confidential petition on behalf of the Yoruba Nation movement, seeking intervention from the UK government to support their cause for an independent Yoruba nation.

The petition, surrounded by secrecy, is a plea for the oppressed indigenous people of Yoruba to have a country of their own. Recent reports suggested that the Nigerian government attempted to dissuade Igboho from his agitations, but the Yoruba Nation Movement remains steadfast in their pursuit of self-determination.

With the submission of this petition to the UK Prime Minister, the Yoruba Nation movement aims to gain international support for their cause and bring attention to the plight of the Yoruba people in Nigeria.
