Two dead, two injured in KwaDwesi shooting

Tragedy struck in KwaDwesi as Nelson Mandela Bay police investigate the senseless murders of two men in the early hours of Sunday. The victims, aged 32 and 29, lost their lives after being shot multiple times, while two others sustained serious injuries.

According to initial reports, the police responded to a shooting on Nondyolo Street around 1am, where they discovered the victims with fatal gunshot wounds. One victim had a gunshot wound to the back, while the other was found in a nearby field with wounds to the leg.

It is believed that the victims were ambushed by unknown assailants while arriving at a nearby tavern in a Silver VW Polo. The perpetrators fled the scene in the Polo, leaving behind a trail of devastation.

Police spokesperson Capt Sandra Janse van Rensburg confirmed an ongoing investigation and urged anyone with information to come forward. Contact the provincial serious and violent crime unit, Crime Stop, or the nearest police station with any relevant details.
