In a show of admiration and appreciation, Islamic scholars in Ilorin, Kwara State, commended the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, for his unwavering dedication to national unity, peace, and coexistence. The scholars praised the Sultan for his efforts in combating ignorance and terrorism in Nigeria.
During the Sultan’s three-day visit to the State, Dr. AbdulKadir Salman of Ilorin Emirate expressed gratitude for the Sultan’s fight against terrorism and his promotion of peaceful coexistence among Nigerians. The scholars hailed the Sultan’s leadership and compassion for ordinary people, noting his remarkable influence as a leader in the Nigerian Muslim community.
The scholars extended their thanks to the Sultan for his historic visit to Ilorin and prayed for his continued good health to uphold his exemplary leadership. A special prayer was offered for the Sultan at the General Tunde Idiagbon International Airport as he departed for Sokoto.
As the Royal Father of the Day, the Sultan also attended the convocation ceremonies of Ojaja University, emphasizing the need for government support for private universities in Nigeria.
