PTI Leader Shah Farman Resigns as Senior Advisor to KP CM Amid Accountability Committee Responsibilities
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Farman has stepped down from his position as senior advisor to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, citing his responsibilities as a member of the Accountability Committee as the reason for his resignation.
Farman expressed concerns that his role as an advisor would interfere with his duties on the committee, tasked with monitoring the performance of the KP government. The committee, formed by PTI founder Imran Khan, includes senior legal expert Qazi Anwar and anti-corruption advisor Musaddiq.
The committee aims to address complaints of corruption, improve governance, and investigate cases involving grade 21 officers and ministers. Following a meeting between the CM and Imran Khan, concerns were raised about the performance of ministers, prompting the establishment of this monitoring body.
