Sending troops to Israel puts US soldiers at risk: Iran

Iran Warns US Against Deploying Troops to Israel for Missile Systems

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has issued a warning to the United States against deploying its forces to Israel to operate American anti-missile systems. Araghchi emphasized that the Islamic Republic will defend its interests without any red lines.

Araghchi’s statement came as reports surfaced of the US considering sending Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile defense systems to Israel, which would involve the deployment of American troops on the ground. He criticized Washington for endangering the lives of its troops by sending them to operate missile systems in Israel.

Furthermore, Araghchi highlighted Iran’s efforts to prevent a full-blown war in the region while asserting that the country will spare no effort in defending its people and interests.

Earlier, Israeli media reported the US contemplating the deployment of THAAD systems in Israel as a defense measure against a potential Iranian response to an anticipated Israeli attack. However, no final decision has been made regarding the deployment of the advanced defense system.

Iran’s recent missile attack on Israel was seen as a response to the regime’s military actions in Palestine and Lebanon, as well as its disruptive activities in Iran. Iranian authorities have cautioned that any retaliation from Israel will be met with more significant and destructive responses from Iran.
