The Plateau State Police Command is currently investigating a tragic incident where gunmen attacked a mining site in Bokkos Local Government Area, leading to the death of four youths. The victims, who were working at the mining site in the Batura community, were ambushed by the armed assailants, resulting in four fatalities and five injuries.
The President of the Butura Youth Movement, Sabastine Magit, confirmed the killings and highlighted the unprovoked nature of the attack. The incident, which occurred on October 10, marked another devastating event in a series of attacks in the region. Despite efforts by security agents, the perpetrators of these crimes remain at large.
The Plateau State Police Command spokesperson, Alabo Alfred, expressed condemnation for the violence and called on residents to cooperate with authorities to provide information that could aid in resolving the case.
