Pezeshkian tells Macron: Iran backs peace proposals

President Masoud Pezeshkian Calls for Peace in the Middle East

President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran has voiced his country’s support for any proposal that can bring “peace and security” to the region. In a recent phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, Pezeshkian urged European nations to push for an end to Israel’s aggressive actions in Gaza and Lebanon.

Pezeshkian emphasized Iran’s commitment to a secure and conflict-free region, expressing a willingness to cooperate towards achieving a ceasefire. He criticized the Israeli regime for escalating violence in Gaza and Lebanon, prompting Iran to retaliate with a missile barrage targeting Israeli military sites.

The Iranian foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, has been engaging in diplomatic efforts with regional allies to address the ongoing conflict. Pezeshkian commended Macron for halting arms supplies to Israel, highlighting the importance of international intervention in ending the violence.

As calls for peace grow stronger, leaders like Pezeshkian and Macron are working towards a peaceful resolution to the crisis in the Middle East.
