Hezbollah Strikes Israeli Military Camp with Swarm of Drones: Dozens Wounded

Hezbollah has launched a drone attack on an Israeli military camp in Binyamina, northern Israel, causing at least 67 people to be wounded. The Lebanese armed group claimed responsibility for the strike, stating that it targeted a Golani Brigade camp with a “swarm” of drones.

Israeli emergency services reported that four people were critically wounded in the attack, which occurred without any warning sirens sounding in the town of Binyamina. Additionally, Hezbollah also targeted the Israeli Tsnobar logistics base in the Golan Heights with a missile on the same day.

Amid escalating tensions, the United States announced plans to send a new air-defense system to Israel to enhance protection against missile attacks. Al Jazeera’s Nour Odeh noted the difficulty in detecting drones, posing challenges for Israel’s sophisticated air defense system.

The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has intensified in recent weeks, with Lebanon bearing a heavy toll. As both sides continue their attacks, the situation remains volatile, with implications for the wider region.
