Israel warns of targeting Lebanon ambulances over Hezbollah misuse

Recent reports suggest that the Israeli army has issued a chilling threat against ambulances in southern Lebanon, claiming that they are being used by Hezbollah to transport fighters and weapons. According to Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee, intelligence has revealed that ambulances are being misused for illicit purposes by Hezbollah members.

Adraee warned that any vehicle found to be carrying fighters would be at risk of being targeted by the Israeli army. In a direct message to residents in southern Lebanon, he advised them to avoid their homes and refrain from traveling south, citing ongoing military operations against Hezbollah positions in the region.

These actions by the Israeli army have raised concerns about the targeting of medical facilities, including ambulances, which constitute war crimes. Such actions have also been reported in Gaza, where ambulances were targeted by Israeli forces.

The situation in Lebanon remains tense, with Israel conducting massive airstrikes since September 23, resulting in a high number of casualties and displacements. The international community must condemn these actions and ensure the protection of innocent civilians and medical facilities in conflict zones.
