Hezbollah Drone Attack Injures 40 Near Haifa Military Base

Hezbollah Retaliates with Drone Strike in Israel, Wounds 40 in Binyamina

Israeli rescue services reported almost 40 people wounded in a drone strike in Binyamina, with three critically injured. The Hezbollah militant group claimed responsibility for the attack, marking one of the most severe strikes in Israel this year.

Despite Israel’s strong air-defense systems, the drones caused significant harm. Reports indicate two drones were launched from Lebanon, one being intercepted by the military.

The targets and casualties of the strike are still unknown, raising concerns about military personnel or civilians being affected.

Hezbollah stated the strike was retaliation for Israeli attacks in Beirut that killed 22 individuals, including civilians.

This incident follows a previous drone attack during Yom Kippur and coincides with the US sending additional defense systems to Israel.

Amid conflicts with Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon, Israel faces mounting tensions with Iran-backed groups and potential retaliation from Iran itself.

The ongoing violence has resulted in civilian casualties, underscoring the complex dynamics of the region’s conflicts.
