Radical Islamists gathered in Hamburg, Germany, to call for a caliphate and Sharia law, with over 2000 supporters chanting Allahu Akhbar. The demonstration was organized by Muslim Interaktiv, a group affiliated with Hizb ur-Tahrir, banned in 2003 for promoting violence against Jews.
Leading the group is Joe Adade Boateng, known as Raheem Boateng, who was recently barred from teaching due to his Islamist ties. The organization, labeled extremist by authorities, has been active in Germany, organizing rallies against Israel’s actions in the Middle East.
Despite calls for a ban by politicians like Christoph de Vries, Hamburg police chief Frank Schnabel and Justice Minister Marco Buschmann see no legal grounds for prohibition. Hizb ur-Tahrir, the organization affiliated with Muslim Interaktiv, aims to establish a global Islamic caliphate, facing bans in various countries for promoting terrorism.
Former interior minister James Cleverly labeled Hizb ut-Tahrir as antisemitic and terror-promoting, emphasizing the need for vigilance towards extremist ideologies.
