Chinese premier to boost high-level cooperation with Vietnam

Chinese Premier Li Qiang expressed China’s willingness to enhance collaboration with Vietnam across various sectors during a meeting with To Lam, the general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Vietnamese president. The focus was on strengthening political mutual trust, security cooperation, practical collaboration, popular support, multilateral coordination, and managing differences effectively.

Both countries aim to improve infrastructure connectivity and streamline trade facilitation processes. Additionally, they plan to explore opportunities in emerging fields like information technology, new energy, digital economy, and vital minerals, while deepening cultural exchanges.

Li highlighted the importance of the two nations working together on global initiatives, promoting a multipolar world, economic globalization, and regional stability. In response, Lam reaffirmed Vietnam’s commitment to enhancing the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with China and building a shared future. Vietnam supports the Belt and Road Initiative and is keen on strengthening collaboration within multilateral frameworks for peace and prosperity.
