The UK Trade Commissioner for Africa, John Humphrey, has announced that a delegation of 12 British companies will be visiting Morocco from October 15 to 17. This visit aims to explore partnership opportunities in preparation for Morocco hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
As an advisor to King Charles III, Humphrey highlighted the importance of the visit in a tweet, emphasizing the potential for collaboration between British companies and Moroccan counterparts. In addition, a video produced by the UK government was shared to showcase investment opportunities in Morocco ahead of the prestigious sporting event.
Prior to this announcement, Fouzi Lekjaa, the Minister Delegate in Charge of Budget and President of the 2030 World Cup bid, had met with representatives from the UK Infrastructure and Major Projects Authority. The discussions focused on exploring opportunities for supporting major projects and infrastructure programs in Morocco, especially in relation to the upcoming World Cup.
