15 dead in Israeli attacks in Lebanon

Recent Israeli strikes in Lebanon resulted in the deaths of at least 15 people and left 37 wounded, with the Lebanese health ministry confirming the casualties. The strikes targeted areas across three different locations, including the previously untouched town of Deir Billa in northern Lebanon. In response, Israel ordered the evacuation of additional southern Lebanese towns.

Hezbollah was reported to have fired around 320 projectiles from Lebanon into Israel, prompting Israeli military action and closures of certain regions in northern Israel. Evacuations were also ordered in 23 southern Lebanese villages, citing increased Hezbollah activity and the alleged use of civilian areas to conceal weapons.

UN peacekeepers in Lebanon expressed concern over a potential regional conflict, as tensions escalated between Israeli forces and Hezbollah. In parallel, Israeli strikes in Gaza resulted in the deaths of 29 Palestinians, with ongoing military operations risking further escalation and civilian casualties.

The situation remains tense, with international agencies monitoring the developments closely to mitigate the impact on civilians and ensure the safety of peacekeepers in the region.
