국방부 비난하는 김여정 담화, 국민 겁박하는 행태

In recent news, the South Korean Ministry of National Defense has criticized North Korea for its continued provocations, calling them “appalling antics” in a scathing response to a statement by Kim Yo-jong, the deputy head of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The Ministry of National Defense issued a statement on the 13th, pointing out that although Kim’s recent comments denounced provocative acts as “violations of another country’s sovereignty,” North Korea has already violated South Korean airspace more than ten times.

North Korea had accused South Korea of infiltrating Pyongyang’s airspace with unmanned aerial vehicles, spreading anti-North propaganda leaflets. In response, the North Korean authorities threatened retaliatory action against any further incursions.

The Ministry of National Defense condemned North Korea’s actions as an attempt to divert attention from its failed military endeavors, labeling the situation as a typical ploy by the reclusive regime.

Furthermore, the Joint Chiefs of Staff responded to North Korea’s claims by stating that they could not verify the presence of a South Korean UAV in Pyongyang’s airspace, urging North Korea to cease provocative actions that put the safety of South Korean citizens at risk.

The tense back-and-forth between the two Koreas highlights the ongoing military and political tensions on the Korean Peninsula, underscoring the need for continued vigilance and diplomacy.
