Turkish and Serbian Presidents Aim to Boost Business Cooperation

During a Türkiye-Serbia Business Forum in Belgrade, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized the significant potential for cooperation between the two countries in various sectors such as health, energy, and technology. Erdogan highlighted the importance of advancing dialogue, particularly in the defense industry, and expressed Türkiye’s readiness to collaborate with Serbia on EU initiatives.

Erdogan also mentioned the growth of Turkish investments in Serbia, with about 850 companies operating in the country and creating jobs. The bilateral trade volume has broken records in recent years, exceeding $2 billion. The goal is to reach a $5 billion trade volume in the near future.

Both presidents highlighted the importance of tourism in strengthening economic ties and cultural exchange between the two nations. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic emphasized that relations with Türkiye signify peace and stability beyond economic cooperation.

The door is open for Serbian entrepreneurs interested in investing in Türkiye, as both countries work towards maximizing the full potential of their business communities.
