Russian President Vladimir Putin prioritizes relations with Iran, stating they are progressing successfully.
During a meeting in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, Putin and Pezeshkian share a close view of world affairs and collaborate actively on the international stage, according to Russian state news agency TASS.
Putin expressed interest in establishing a “new world order” to counter the West, while Pezeshkian criticized Israeli aggression on Lebanon as “savage.”
Bilateral Relations
The leaders discussed trade relations, with Putin noting increased revenue this year and congratulating Iran on becoming a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. They plan to meet again at the ‘BRICS’ summit in Kazan.
