Canada’s Terror List: Criminalizing Opposition to Israeli Crimes

In an alarming turn of events, efforts to suppress Palestine solidarity have intensified in Canada. Recent incidents include police questioning a lawyer over social media posts, a government bureaucrat being fired for a song, protesters being arrested, and a ban on protests at McGill University.

A campaign has been launched to characterize the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network as a terrorist entity. Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre is leading the charge to criminalize Samidoun, with the Israeli lobby and media also pushing this narrative.

Despite no evidence of violence, Samidoun faces vilification for expressing support for Palestinian resistance. This unjust targeting raises questions about Canada’s biased terrorist list methodology.

It’s time to recognize and applaud the individuals and groups standing against Israeli atrocities. Let’s support those opposing injustice and celebrate their efforts, starting with honoring Samidoun.
