In a strong condemnation, Iran’s Foreign Ministry denounced Israel’s recent strike on a medical facility along the Syria-Lebanon border, labeling it a blatant violation of international law. Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei criticized Israel’s repeated attacks on hospitals and medical facilities in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria, stating that these actions demonstrate the regime’s disregard for international regulations and constitute clear war crimes.
Baqaei called on international organizations, including the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), to condemn Israeli actions unequivocally and urged for urgent global support for the thousands of displaced Lebanese affected by Israel’s military offensive in Lebanon in recent weeks. The Israeli strike destroyed Iran’s 56-bed field hospital, which was clearly marked with Red Crescent symbols and housed ambulances, medical equipment, and food supplies meant for displaced Lebanese.
Israel’s offensive in Gaza has also resulted in the targeting of healthcare and education sectors, with numerous hospitals, schools, and universities being bombed and destroyed. Despite calls for a cease-fire, Israel continues its military campaign, drawing criticism for what is seen as a genocidal war on the Palestinian people.
