Iran Engages Urgent Diplomatic Efforts to Prepare for Israel’s Retaliation – Reports
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Iran has engaged urgent diplomatic efforts with a number of Middle Eastern countries to prepare for Israel’s possible retaliatory attack on its nuclear and oil facilities, CNN reported on Saturday, citing sources familiar with the matter. This comes amid uncertainty about Washington’s ability to convince Israel not to strike Iranian facilities and Hezbollah’s fatigue after recent military operations.
Last week, US President Joe Biden warned Israel against targeting oil fields after Iran launched a missile attack on October 1 in self-defense. Israel has conducted ground operations and airstrikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon, resulting in over 2,000 casualties. Despite this, Hezbollah continues to fight and launch rockets, aiming to create conditions for the return of fleeing residents.
