Gunmen raid Plateau mining site, kill four

Tragedy struck in Plateau State as gunmen attacked a mining site in Bokkos Local Government Area, leaving four youths dead and five others injured. The victims, identified as Bwefuk Musa, Klingshak Dickson, Promise Joshua, and Nyam Abaka, were mercilessly killed in the unprovoked assault. The President of the Butura Youth Movement confirmed the incident, highlighting the increasing violence in the community.

This heartbreaking incident comes on the heels of the recent attack in Wumat, where five family members lost their lives. The community is reeling from over 20 deaths in the past month alone as a result of attacks by identified Fulani assailants. Despite the escalating violence, authorities were unavailable for immediate comment.

The Butura youth leader lamented the senseless loss of lives and called for urgent intervention to restore peace and security in the area. The residents remain in fear as the perpetrators continue to evade justice, leaving a trail of devastation in their wake.
