Tragedy Strikes as Gunmen Assassinate APC Youth Leader in Ogun State

In a shocking turn of events, gunmen suspected to be cultists targeted and assassinated Adeleke Adeyinka, a councillorship candidate in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The incident took place at Jide Jones area of Oke-Ilewo, where the assailants arrived in a tinted car, opened fire, and brutally attacked Adeyinka until he succumbed to his injuries.
Prior to his untimely demise, Adeleke was known for his active involvement in the transport union in Panseke area and had served as a former APC youth leader in Abeokuta South. Described as a dedicated and amazing individual who served his community wholeheartedly, his death has sent shockwaves through the region.
The Ogun State Police command spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident, stating that efforts are being made to apprehend the suspects. The APC Youth Leaders’ forum expressed deep sorrow over the loss, demanding justice and increased security measures in the affected areas to prevent further violence.
This senseless act of violence highlights the need for urgent action to ensure the safety and security of all individuals in the community.
