German Chancellor Olaf Scholz reaffirmed Germany’s unwavering military support for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia during a joint news conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Berlin. Scholz condemned Russia’s “murderous war” of aggression against Ukraine and vowed to continue strengthening Ukraine’s air defense capabilities to protect civilian infrastructure and energy systems. Germany recently provided a military support package worth over €600 million and plans to deliver an additional package worth around €1.4 billion by the end of the year.
