The Falkland Islands Community School

The Falkland Islands Government is thrilled to announce the appointment of Amy Marsh as the new Principal of the Falkland Islands Community School. With a background in education both locally and internationally, Amy brings a wealth of experience and a passion for supporting students and staff.

Amy’s commitment to developing a relevant curriculum and fostering a positive learning environment is evident in her previous roles. Her appointment follows an exceptional handover from outgoing Principal Sebastian St. John, who led the school to outstanding GCSE results in recent years.

Executive Headteacher Karen Steen expressed her confidence in Amy’s leadership, while Education and Community Portfolio holder MLA Leona Roberts welcomed Amy’s return to the Falklands. The entire FICS community extends their gratitude to Sebastian St. John for his dedication and wishes him well in his future endeavors.

We look forward to witnessing the positive impact Amy will make at FICS and the continued success of the school under her guidance.
