Tshwane’s new mayor, Dr. Nasiphi Moya, is set to unveil her mayoral committee this Sunday afternoon at Tshwane House. Just days after her election as the executive mayor, Dr. Moya is determined to bring efficient service delivery to all corners of the capital city.
Her spokesperson, Zintle Mahlati, announced that the committee members will prioritize the needs of Tshwane residents in all decision-making processes. Dr. Moya, a leader in ActionSA, took over from Cilliers Brink of the DA, following an ANC-sponsored no-confidence motion. She won the election with 122 votes to Brink’s 86.
In her acceptance speech, Dr. Moya acknowledged the challenges ahead but expressed optimism for a prosperous future under the new ANC-led partnership. She emphasized the need for stability in the city after recent political turmoil, vowing to prioritize quality service delivery and put politics aside for the benefit of all residents.
