Zelenskyy Seeks German Support for Ukraine

Zelenskyy arrived in Berlin after visiting the UK, France, and Italy, thanking Germany for their strong support.

During his visit, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for Germany’s ongoing assistance to Ukraine, especially in areas like air defense. Zelenskyy highlighted the significance of Western air defense systems in saving Ukrainian lives and providing protection for their villages and cities. He also emphasized the need for continued support in the upcoming year, with fresh pledges for funding in 2025.

Zelenskyy emphasized Ukraine’s desire for a just peace and victory against Russia, accusing Russia of lacking interest in diplomacy. He presented a plan to Scholz aimed at forcing Russia to agree to peace and end the war, expressing hope for a peace summit in 2025. Zelenskyy sought German support in realizing this plan and working together with partners to achieve lasting peace.
