Yemeni forces, under the leadership of Brigadier General Yahya Saree, successfully targeted the “American oil tanker OLYMPIC SPIRIT” in the Red Sea and the Malta-flagged container ship St. John in the Indian Ocean. Using a combination of ballistic missiles, combat drones, and a cruise missile, the vessels were struck, with the OLYMPIC SPIRIT suffering significant damage.
General Saree emphasized that these operations were in response to violations of Yemen’s ban on commercial vessels heading to Israeli-occupied territories. The Yemeni armed forces are committed to maintaining a naval blockade to prevent such incidents in the future.
In addition to the Yemeni forces, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq also launched a successful drone attack on a vital target in Eilat, Israel. This group, consisting of various Iraqi factions, has been actively targeting Israeli and US facilities in response to ongoing aggressions in Gaza and support from Washington.
