Ukraine calls for Asian state to arrest Putin – RT Russia & FSU

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has issued a warning to Turkmenistan regarding the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin, citing an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC). Despite Turkmenistan not being a signatory to the Rome Statute, Ukraine hopes that Ashgabat will adhere to international law.

Furthermore, Ukraine has urged all countries valuing human life and international law to refrain from hosting events involving Putin. Putin’s visit to Ashgabat for an international forum was met with controversy, as the ICC has accused him of unlawful actions in Ukraine.

While Moscow denies these allegations, Ukraine has sought support from other nations like Mongolia and Mexico to enforce the arrest warrant. However, not all countries have complied, leading to tensions between Kiev and its allies.

As geopolitical tensions escalate, the issue of international justice and diplomatic relations comes to the forefront, creating a complex scenario for all involved parties.
