Trump campaign seeks military protection, citing ‘Iran threat’ | Trump News

There is no evidence that Iran was behind the two assassination attempts against the former president.

Donald Trump’s campaign has made an unprecedented request for military aircraft to protect him in the final weeks of the election race, amid unsubstantiated suspicions that Iran may have been behind recent assassination attempts. The request also includes expanded flight restrictions over Trump’s residences and rallies, as well as military vehicles for transportation.

Although there is no evidence linking Iran to the assassination attempts, Trump’s campaign spokesperson cited warnings from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence regarding threats from Iran. Trump himself has mentioned on social media that previous attempts by Iran were unsuccessful but may happen again.

The escalating tensions have led Trump’s team to request military protection, citing concerns about drones and missiles. This comes after recent security failures by the Secret Service, including an incident where Trump was shot at during a rally. Despite receiving the highest levels of protection, Trump’s team remains vigilant about potential threats.
