The victim listed a Rolex for sale on Facebook Marketplace for $37,000, which led the intruders to target the home.

Police are still appealing for information that could help them identify the intruders. (Nine)

The victim, who had sold the watch, emphasized the importance of deleting previous online listings to avoid such incidents.

“Previous listings online can still be seen unless you actually go into your profile to delete them,” he said.

Police are urging everyone to be cautious when buying or selling online, reminding them to delete old listings and stay vigilant.
