Unity for the Supremacy of Parliament: PTI Meets JUI-F Leader
A meeting between a PTI delegation and JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has sparked speculation over the 26th constitutional amendment. Both parties expressed the need to clarify the draft before further discussions.
PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan emphasized unity for national improvement and parliamentary sovereignty. He defended the recent protest as a democratic right, while PTI leader Salman Akram Raja praised Maulana’s strong stance on the amendments.
Opposing changes that compromise rights, JUI-F plans to introduce its own amendment focusing on a separate judicial body. Both JUI-F and PPP seek legal expert opinions for their drafts.
The meeting shed light on the dedication to protect citizen rights in the face of governmental measures. Stay tuned for updates as the political landscape evolves.
