Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Announces Salary Raise for Islamabad Police
During an address at the Police Lines Headquarters in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the bravery and courage of the police force and announced a raise in their salaries to match those of the Punjab Police. He emphasized the importance of professional training and capacity building to create a model police force.
Highlighting the successful efforts of the Islamabad Police in maintaining security and thwarting disruptive activities, PM Shehbaz mentioned past initiatives in Punjab such as the Punjab Safe City, Dolphin Force, and Elite Force, showcasing the PML-N’s commitment to police reforms.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also acknowledged the police force’s dedication and the significant decrease in crime rates. The Prime Minister’s visit aimed to honor the services of the police and review preparations for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting.
Overall, the government’s focus on enhancing the capabilities and morale of the police force signifies a step towards ensuring the safety and security of the nation.
