A recent meeting in Rabat between Morocco’s Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohamed Abdeljalil, and Korea’s Vice-Minister for Transport, Baek Won-kug, highlighted the importance of cooperation in the rail transport and logistics sector between the two countries.
Abdeljalil emphasized Morocco’s ongoing transport infrastructure projects and strategic position in the region, especially in relation to rail projects managed by the ONCF. He expressed a desire to learn from Korea’s expertise, particularly in intelligent mobility and future transport solutions.
The Korean vice-minister praised Morocco’s infrastructure research expertise and expressed a commitment to supporting job creation and technology transfer in the railway sector. Both parties hope to expand their cooperation beyond rail transport to other areas within the transport and logistics industry.
This meeting builds on previous discussions between Moroccan and Korean officials, signaling a promising partnership in the development of rail transport infrastructure and logistics between the two nations.
