KP CM directs full facilitation for Jamrud jirga participants during site visit

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur recently oversaw arrangements for a peace jirga in Khyber district, ensuring full facilitation of participants. The event, hosted by the provincial administration, aimed to peacefully resolve issues, particularly concerning the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM). Following a multiparty grand jirga, the federal government agreed to lift the ban on PTM, allowing the scheduled Pashtoon Qaumi Jirga to proceed with CM Gandapur’s participation.

CM Gandapur visited the jirga site in Jamrud, reviewing security measures and directing the provision of essential facilities for attendees. Highlighting the importance of peace, the chief minister expressed commitment to addressing grievances and emphasized ongoing efforts for stability.

Information advisor Barrister Saif commended the successful negotiations and outlined guidelines for the jirga, promoting discussions on local issues. With a focus on maintaining peace, the KP government ensured medical readiness at designated hospitals for jirga participants.
