Iran has denounced Israel’s airstrike on an Iranian field hospital near the Syria-Lebanon border as a “war crime.” The hospital, run by the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), was targeted and destroyed, along with supplies and equipment.

According to Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei, Israel’s repeated attacks on hospitals and rescue centers in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria violate international regulations and norms. IRCS President Pirhossein Kolivand also condemned the airstrike, citing a breach of international humanitarian law.

During a meeting in Doha with the Qatari foreign minister, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi blamed Israel for causing instability in West Asia through its “warmongering” actions. Araghchi called for an end to what he described as “genocide” in Lebanon and Gaza, with support from regional cooperation to halt Israeli “crimes” and assist the Palestinian and Lebanese populations.
