Araqchi criticized the UN Security Council’s inaction and highlighted Iran’s recent missile strikes on Israeli military positions as a response to the escalating conflict. He emphasized Iran’s commitment to international peace and security, expressing readiness to defend against any aggression.
Additionally, Araqchi urged humanitarian organizations to address the crisis in Gaza and Lebanon, where the Israeli strikes have targeted not only civilians but also humanitarian principles. He called for global assistance and the removal of barriers hindering aid delivery.
In a separate letter to the OIC Secretary General, Araqchi requested an emergency session to tackle the deteriorating situation in Gaza and Lebanon. His plea signifies Iran’s proactive stance in addressing the escalating conflict in the region.
