Amman – The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates recently issued a warning against the Israeli occupation force’s seizure of UNRWA’s headquarters. The Ministry strongly condemned Israel’s actions and called them a clear violation of international law, the UN Charter, and the privileges of UN organizations in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Ambassador Sufian Al-Qudah, the Ministry’s official spokesperson, emphasized that Israel’s decisions go against international law and Security Council resolutions, such as Resolution No. 2334. He noted that Israel is attempting to tighten its control over the occupied territories, which is in direct violation of the international community’s immunity and relevant UN resolutions.
With the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza and the West Bank exacerbated by Israel’s aggression, Ambassador Al-Qudah warned about the severe consequences of Israel’s actions targeting UNRWA. He stressed the importance of continued political and financial support from the international community to ensure UNRWA can fulfill its mission and provide vital services to Palestinian refugees.
