The newly appointed Federal Capital Territory Commissioner of Police, Tunji Disu, recently visited communities in the Bwari Area Council to address the prevalent security challenges in the area. The Bwari Area Council has experienced a rise in incidents of violence, including kidnappings and killings, prompting the CP to take action.
During his visit to the Ushafa area, CP Disu engaged with traditional rulers, youth groups, and community members to assess the current security situation and the effectiveness of ongoing security deployments. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the police and residents, urging the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities promptly.
The CP assured residents that the Command had strengthened its deployments in key areas within the Bwari axis, focusing on intelligence-driven operations and rapid response units. He reaffirmed the police force’s dedication to ensuring the safety and security of all communities within the FCT, including Bwari.
By engaging with stakeholders, enhancing security architecture, and implementing cutting-edge strategies, the FCT Command aims to tackle crime effectively and create a safe environment for residents and businesses in the area.
