Fadnavis Promotes ‘Ghar Ghar Samvidhan’ in Maharashtra Schools

The Maharashtra government, led by deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, has launched the ‘Ghar Ghar Samvidhan’ initiative to promote constitutional awareness among students in schools, colleges, and educational institutions. This program aims to educate students on their rights, duties, and the core values of the Constitution during the academic year 2024-25. Schools and colleges will prominently display the Preamble and objectives of the Indian Constitution while organizing lectures, workshops, seminars, and educational competitions to engage students actively.

The government has also mandated that all local self-government meetings start with the reading of the Preamble, extending to state assembly sessions, integrating the Constitution into daily governance. To ensure the initiative’s successful implementation, state-level and district-level committees will supervise the rollout and participation of every educational institution. By nurturing a sense of social justice, unity, and national pride, the ‘Ghar Ghar Samvidhan’ initiative aims to deepen students’ understanding of the Constitution and its significance in modern India.
