Breaking News: Terrorists Involved in Dasu Dam Attack Killed During Transfer
Two terrorists linked to the 2021 Dasu Dam attack were shot dead by their accomplices while being transferred from Sahiwal Jail due to a security threat alert, as per a statement from the Punjab Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).
The attack in 2021 claimed the lives of 13 individuals, including nine Chinese engineers and four Pakistanis, near the Dasu hydropower plant in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Masterminds of the Dasu attack, Muhammad Hussain and Ayaz, along with three other terrorists, were being moved when assailants ambushed one of the police vans on Samundri Road, resulting in the deaths of the two perpetrators. The police and CTD personnel remained unharmed.
Moreover, the CTD reported the arrest of 18 terrorists in various operations across Punjab. Recent data from the Pak Institute for Peace Studies indicates a rise in terrorist incidents in Pakistan, prompting a proactive response from security forces.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced the successful killing of four terrorists in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, underscoring the ongoing efforts to eradicate extremist elements from the region.
