Benue governor calls out Moro for misinformation on Senate about LG poll

Benue State Governor Accuses Senator of Misinformation

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has accused Senate Minority Leader Abba Moro of spreading misinformation about the local government election in the state. In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, Alia refuted Moro’s claims that the election was a sham.

Alia maintained that the election was conducted in accordance with democratic principles and existing electoral laws. He criticized Moro for pushing a personal vendetta rather than addressing genuine concerns about the democratic process.

The governor emphasized that the election, organized by the Benue State Independent Electoral Commission, was widely recognized as credible and violence-free. He denounced Moro and his colleagues for attempting to discredit the current administration instead of focusing on the needs of their constituents.

Alia called on Moro and other politicians from Benue to reevaluate their actions and reconnect with their constituents. He urged them to prioritize serving the public over personal agendas and offered a path to redemption through genuine apology and commitment to their roles.
