ANCYL doubts ActionSA’s success in Tshwane: Malatji

ANC Youth League (ANCYL) president Collen Malatji has expressed doubts about the newly appointed Tshwane mayor Nasiphi Moya, following the ousting of former mayor Cilliers Brink in a motion of no confidence.

During a press briefing ahead of their march to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), Malatji emphasized the importance of experienced leadership in running the capital city, stating that it cannot be governed by individuals who are still “learning to lead”.

Moya secured 122 votes against Brink’s 86 votes, with the backing of the ANC. Malatji expressed a preference for the ANC to hold the mayorship in Tshwane, but noted that if the local leadership had a different perspective, it was acceptable. However, he stressed that the city cannot be a training ground for inexperienced leaders.
