Israeli Airstrikes Kill 12 Palestinians in Gaza

Recent Israeli airstrikes on residential homes in Jabalia town, northern Gaza Strip, have led to the death of at least 12 Palestinians and injured 30 others. The ongoing Israeli military offensive has been targeting various areas in Gaza for six days now.

Gaza Civil Defense spokesman, Mahmoud Basal, confirmed that the airstrikes hit a residential area on Friday night, with 14 people still missing under the rubble. Despite warnings from the Israeli military to evacuate, Gaza’s Ministry of Interior and National Security advised citizens against it, calling it “deception and lies.”

More than 42,100 people have been killed, predominantly women and children, due to the conflict. The Israeli onslaught has left the Gaza Strip in a state of crisis with severe shortages of essentials like food and medicine.

Efforts for a cease-fire and prisoner swap agreement have failed, with Israel facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice. The situation remains tense as international mediators attempt to bring an end to the violence.
