Police in Pakistan capture suspect in Karachi’s Gulberg for murder of 3-year-old

Tragic Incident in Karachi: Suspect Confesses to Killing Three-Year-Old

The Karachi police have apprehended a suspect who confessed to killing a three-year-old child after attempting to rape her. The child’s body was discovered in Karachi’s Qabail Colony, Gulberg Block 11. The incident occurred when the child followed her elder siblings to a seminary in the area, and her mother could not locate her.

The suspect, arrested within hours of the search operation, admitted to taking the child to his house, attempting to assault her, and then strangling her when she screamed. This tragic incident highlights the vulnerability of children in the city.

This is not an isolated case. In August, a 12-year-old girl was raped and murdered in Karachi’s Saddar area. Reports from NGOs reveal a distressing trend of child abuse incidents across the country, including cases of abduction, missing children, child marriages, and pornography after sexual abuse.

It is evident that urgent measures need to be taken to ensure the safety of our children and prevent such heinous crimes from recurring.
