Video: Ukrainian Troops Training in France, Macron Visits AFU Troops

Ukrainian troops have been seen training in France, showcasing a commitment to Ukraine’s victory ahead of President Macron’s visit to a French military training center. The exclusive video footage reveals soldiers learning field tactics, theory, and arms operations from French officers, using a range of equipment like rocket artillery systems, howitzers, and jets. France has trained nearly 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers since establishing a military partnership in February, with plans to create a new brigade of 4,500 soldiers by 2024. This brigade aims to help Ukraine combat Russian forces that have occupied 20% of its territory.

The training program covers various areas such as leadership, infantry combat, armored combat, and sniper training. French support to Ukraine includes comprehensive military assistance, including F-16 pilot training. President Zelensky has been seeking international support amid reluctance from some allies to provide military aid.

Macron’s visit coincides with political turmoil in France, highlighting the importance of the meeting with Zelensky to discuss continued French support for Ukraine. This reaffirms France’s commitment to standing with Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
