Russia tells U.S.: Focus on Diddy, not us

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova suggested that the United States should focus on investigating criminal sex ring allegations against rapper Diddy instead of punishing Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. Zakharova’s remarks were in response to racketeering and sex trafficking charges against Diddy. She called for the U.S. to redirect its resources towards internal matters.

Additionally, Zakharova criticized the U.S. for not signing the International Criminal Court’s founding statute, especially after the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin related to the Ukrainian conflict. She implicated Washington in the Diddy scandal, claiming a coordinated operation involving show business, politics, and government.

Zakharova’s comments come amid tensions between Russia and the West, with Moscow opposing U.S. military aid to Ukraine and facing sanctions. She highlighted alleged hypocrisy in the U.S. political establishment and accused them of covering up the scandal. Despite lacking evidence, Zakharova’s remarks have stirred controversy.
