North Korea Army to Sever All Road, Rail Links with South Korea – Other Media报道

North Korea is set to launch a project on October 9 to completely cut off roads and railways connected to South Korea, fortifying the areas with strong defense structures. The move, described as a self-defensive measure, aims to inhibit war and defend the security of North Korea.

In response to what it calls an “acute military situation” on the Korean Peninsula, North Korea is taking a more resolute and stronger measure, citing South Korean military exercises near the border and visits by US strategic nuclear assets to the region. The North Korean military has also reached out to the US military in South Korea to prevent any misjudgment or accidental conflict.

These actions come amid ongoing tensions on the Korean Peninsula, with North Korea recently sending trash-carrying balloons towards the South and publicly disclosing a uranium enrichment facility. The US has 28,000 troops stationed in South Korea to deter North Korean aggression, a legacy of the Korean War.
